Unnamed Beauty

I made this quilt top a few years ago using ‘scraps’. The blocks are Card Basket and Starry Splendour from Donna Lynn Thomas’ book, Scrappy Duos.

I rediscovered it whilst looking for something else and thought I would share it with you. However, I am stumped with naming it! So I am having a little giveaway for the best 3 suggestions. All you need to do is post your suggestion as a comment here on this post, on my flickr page or in the thread I have started in the Lily’s Quilt flickr group.  I have to decide on what I am giving away, so in order for me to find something, you have 3 weeks from now to make your suggestions.

  1. I think those stars look like islands of precious stones so I’m suggesting “Jewels in the Ocean” as a title for your lovely quilt.

  2. Beautiful colors! I’d love to come up with a name but now that I’ve seen Lis’s “Jewels in the Ocean” that is all I can think of when I see it. Very, very pretty!

  3. It is beautiful! The happy candy/jewel colors with the rich blue makes me think “Mermaid’s Lair”

  4. Reminds me of skittles……how about Candied Stars

  5. The light and dark triangles remind me of faceted diamonds so I am going to say “Sparkling Gems”

  6. “Oh my Rainbow Stars” It doesn’t have the same impact if you reduce it to Rainbow Stars but I do like the whole name. Gorgeous Quilt btw!!
